Ken Currie was a CAPDM co-founder and is currently Director of Business Development for the company.
Ken has a history in distance and on-line learning stretching back to 1991 when, as a founding director of the Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University, he was the key designer of the highly successful on-line MBA programme. He also initiated and project managed the development of that University's globally successful undergraduate Management Programme.
Following Heriot-Watt, Ken returned to Edinburgh University as eLearning Consultant to the College of Humanities & Social Science, writing their e-learning strategy during this spell. However in early 2007 he bowed to the inevitable and joined the company he helped start ten years earlier, on a full-time basis. He has worked of the development of a number of on-line programmes, including with Napier University and ifs School of Finance.
Ken's career background is in commercial research in AI planning and scheduling systems -- working for clients such as European Space Agency, the US Air Force and Japanese industry -- and in software engineering. He has published extensively including articles in the AI Journal and Computational Intelligence.
